Beauty of Gray

The world is filled with beauty and sorrow. The differences between such things are sometimes vague and gray, and they appear differently depending upon how you are feeling today, what you experienced yesterday, and what you expect for tomorrow. I wanted to express those differences, similarities, vagueness, and contradictions, and I wanted to represent them as they are. Without being clear about what's right or wrong. I wanted to show the color of gray as gray.
For me, art is a way to communicate such grayness. It leaves the room for the viewer to participate. When an artist creates art, a musician plays the music and a dancer dances, or a writer and poet write stories and poems, it seems to me the energy to create things all leads to the same origin. Very powerful yet ambiguous. Even when two artists created paintings with completely opposite concepts, the source is the same. They only try to express something they can't express otherwise. When my mind gets stimulated by such creations, I'd start to feel like everything in this world leads to the same core and the wall that separate me from the rest of world would start to disappear. Once you become aware of the sensation, you realize such stimulation is in fact not only limited to art but also many other things, such as food, sports, laughters of people, a color of sky or ocean, a flying bird, a running dog, a sleeping cat, or even a falling leaf of a tree. I'm wishing my art to be a trigger to become aware of those many wonderful sensations in life.
